This article is short, concise but describes some very good principles and practices to get you thinking about how to use the Web. This article was awarded the Best Paper Award for "Use of the World Wide Web" by the Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education 7th World Conference in 1996.

- Once you are ready to do some longer reading, I would recommend the two books shown below. Sander's book, Creating Learning-Centered Courses for the World Wide Web has quite a few suggestions concerning making web sites interactive. Sarah Horton's book, Web Teaching Guide has some good information about organizing the web site.

- Netscape Composer - this comes along with Netscape Navigator in a package called Netscape Communicator.
- Mozilla - this open-source browser, which is very similar to Netscape's, contains a web-authoring component.
